Our Story So Far – Care services and support in the home
Be Caring is Different.
We’re the UK’s largest employee-owned provider of social care services in the home.
So, why is Be Caring different?
Be Caring Ltd. is a social enterprise meaning that our colleagues are all co-owners of the business… and so share in its success. Like being part of a family, we support and encourage each other to be the best we can be. We put people first, not profits. This goes for our colleagues as well as those who we support. Above all we invest in people, through support, care, training, development and equipment. Improving the wellbeing of our communities is our vision.
What it means to be a colleague at Be Caring
Being a colleague is about much more than sharing the profits – it defines our approach to what we do. We all share the responsibility for our success in delivering the best quality of care to our clients.
Colleagues have a real say in how our business is run. The VOICE is our elected forum with representatives from across the organisation. It consists of members from each service location representing our clients and care support workers.
Be Caring Ltd was founded in January 2019
Be Caring Ltd was formerly known as Care and Share Associates (CASA). CASA was established in 2004 and operated as a social enterprise for 14 years. In January 2019 CASA became Be Caring with a set of bold values and a fresh approach. Building on 14 years of delivering care across the North of England as CASA, Be Caring is more ambitious.
Be Caring is Ambitiously Unique
We’re shaping the future of social care by taking a unique approach.
As a social enterprise we are forging partnerships with suppliers and businesses to bring our colleagues the best value in support to reach their goals.

Our social impact is far-reaching.
As well as improving the quality of life for our service users, we recruit and invest in low income communities. We have a great track record in helping long-term unemployed people into work.
