Home Care Services

Be Caring has 80 home care assistants delivering over 2,000 hours of home care every week across Newcastle upon Tyne and North Tyneside.

Complex Care

The complex and palliative care team delivers over 4,500 hours of personalised care every week across Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and South Tyneside. Complex and palliative care requires dedication, commitment and a genuine will to make a difference.

Complex Care Explained

The goal is to make sure our customers’ needs are met, where they feel most comfortable, within their own homes. We aim to deliver the highest standard of care services in Newcastle, that we can be proud to say we have been a part of. Palliative Care

The palliative care assistant service is designed to reduce and relieve symptoms of cancer and its treatment. Firstly we offer support for dealing with pain.  Secondly, we help deal with anxieties and worries concerning symptoms and treatment. The goal is for our clients to remain as content and comfortable as possible.

It’s our our mission to become community-warriors and smile-givers. Firstly, we need people with a genuine will to care for others. Secondly, you must have an understanding of putting others’ needs before your own.

5 day induction
At least 16 hours shadowing a fully trained colleague
Regular update training
Constant access to support whilst at work, with access to an out of hours line for any concerns they may have
Access to apprenticeship/diploma qualifications
Specific training around your service users’ medical needs

Hospital to Home

We also run a home from hospital service within Newcastle upon Tyne. We have a 400 hour contract with Newcastle City Council to assist with safe hospital discharge. An incredibly varied and fulfilling service involving the support of service users to regain their independence after illness, in all areas of their lives.

LIFE by Be Caring has an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to run the day to day Independent Supported Living team across the Newcastle/ Tyneside area. This would ideally suit someone who has extensive experience of caring for people with learning disabilities and understands the complexities and sensitivities necessary. You may have had a previous role in a supervisory or leadership capacity, or have an ambition to personally develop and seek to progress in your career.

Be Caring will offer the right person for this role the opportunity to access formal training and qualifications. Level 2 Health and Social Care is essential, and you will commence Level 3 immediately upon appointment. You will be supported by the Service Manager for LIFE and the training team.

The purpose of this role is to manage a team of Support Workers who work remotely for our Independent Support Living services across the Newcastle, Tyneside area. The focus of the type of support we provide is predominantly learning disabilities, autism, mental health and physical disabilities. Ensuring that our customers are provided with the highest quality person-led support and our colleagues are supported to be the best they can be.

Due to the geographical locations of the people who we support across Tynesdie it's essential you are a driver and have access to your own transport.
