Vacancy: Outreach Support Worker

Summary

We are currently looking for support workers to work within our learning disabilities outreach department in the Newcastle area. The purpose of this service is to provide support our service users to access their local community, support with the maintenance of independence and promotion the development of life skills.

Eligibility Required

Full advanced DBS check will be completed and paid for by Be Caring Ltd.

Experience Required

Experience is not essential as for support and training will be provided.

The Role

Working for Be Caring as a support worker at our learning disabilities department will see you supporting vulnerable child and adults to access their local communities.
Your role will include:
Providing safe community access
Supporting individuals to make and attend appointment
Supporting individuals to attend clubs and events, promoting social engagement
Personal Care tasks
Conflict resolution

Support

If you are successful in appointment for this position will have the opportunity to completed:

Five days induction training
Care Certificate
16 hours of shadowing training with an experience member of staff
Apprentice/Diploma in care
Any additional specialist training for the role

Any Specific Details relating to role

Specialist autism training provided
