LIFE by Be Caring is looking to recruit experienced Support Workers to join our Shared Living Scheme in the West Denton area.
The purpose of this role is to provide tailored person centred support to tenants living within the scheme. The support you provide will involve; health and wellbeing. improvement of life skills and engagement within the community.
Vacancies: 2 Full Time roles
Weekends: Working on a rota basis
Training and Learning: paid induction, care certificate, level 2 & 3 in health and social care

Previous experience working in a similar role is essential and a good level of understanding role learning disabilities support is desirable.

As a Support Worker undertaking waking night shifts you will ensure our tenants safe and happy. The type of care and support that we offer varies depending on each customers individual needs. You will be required to provide care and support to people in their homes according to personalised support plans to help maintain their independence and dignity.
You will be supported by the Team Manager, Coordination team and in-house trainer, to ensure you have skills and resources needed in this role. You'll also have opportunities to further develop your skills and achieve formal qualifications in Health and Social Care as you progress.
All our customers have personalised Support Plans in place for you to adhere to, however, please see below a list of potential tasks that you may be expected to carry out:
Assisting with personal care, including intimate care with dignity
Administration/prompting of medication
Assisting with the preparation of meals/drinks
Assisting with the completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping
Assisting people to remain independent within the community
