LIFE by Be Caring are currently looking for dynamic individuals to join our grown Learning Disabilities department within the Newcastle area. LIFE by Be Caring provide a range of services from Shared Living Apartments, Independent Supported Living and Outreach services,

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation in the provision of person centered individually tailored support for both adults and children within our local community.

Experience Required

No previous experience is required to join the LIFE by Be Caring team as you will be provided with a comprehensive induction training program.

Due to the complexity of the services we provide some of our positions do require experience working within Learning Disabilities, however your suitability will be assessed and successful applicants will be located in services that best suit their skill sets.

The Role

The role of a Support Worker is to enable our customers to live happy and fulfilled lives through tailored person centered support.

You will promote independence and support our customers to develop their life skills enabling the individuals to be engaged and part of their local communities.

Your role will include:

Provision of Personal Care undertaken with respect and dignity
Attending appointments to provide support to our customers
Supporting our customers with the management of finances and budgeting
Being active and involved in activities that the customer may undertake
Emotional support and the management of behaviors that present as challenging

If you are successful in appointment of this position you will have the opportunity to complete:

Paid for 5 days of induction training
Completion of the Care Certificate across a 12 week period working with our dedicated trainer
