Be Caring are currently looking for four Weekend and/or Evening Home Care Support Workers (Drivers preferred) to join our busy Tyneside Service.

The purpose of the role is to provide person-centred support within the community to our customers within the Tyneside are. This role will support our existing Care team to meet the demands required of a service operating seven days a week.

If you are studying towards a qualification in Social Care, Nursing or Health Care this role could provide you with paid-for practical experience. We can provide you with community-based insight to align with your studies. You will be supported by our Community Team Leaders, practical training will be provided by our in-service trainer. If you're under 25 years old your hourly rate will be no different from the rate stated below.

Eligibility Required

Full enhanced DBS check will be carried out by Be Caring Limited any offer of employment is subject to the information gathered at this time.

Experience Required

Experience is desirable but not essential. Full training and support will be provided if you're new to care.

The Role

As a Home Care Support Worker you will spend your time out in the community visiting our service users and ensuring they are well looked after, safe and happy. The type of care and support that we offer varies depending on each service user’s individual needs and their care package.

All of our customers have a care plan in place however, please see below a list of potential tasks that you may be expected to carry out:

Assisting with personal care, that may or may not include provision of intimate care with dignity
Administration/prompting of medication
Preparation of meals/drinks
Assisting with the completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping
Supporting people to remain independent within the community and their own homes
