Summary

Be Caring is looking for Home Care Support Workers / Care Assistants who drive to join our busy service in South Leeds. Driving shifts available 7am – 2pm or 4pm – 10pm (a combination of the shifts are available creating a long day shift, with a break between 2pm – 4pm). Colleagues will be paid for the entire shift, plus mileage at 30p per mile, and not visit by visit.

The purpose of the role is to provide person-centered support in the community that enables those who we support to to remain independent and safe in their own home and able to live happy and fulfilled lives. You'll be supported by Be Caring Team Leaders, to provide personalised care, dependent on each client's individual needs including; aiding mobility, assisting with meals, maintaining daily routines, medication prompts, some domestic support and elements of personal care.

We'll support you to learn and develop the skills necessary to be the best. You'll have opportunities to study towards formal qualifications and get paid while you apply and develop your skills. Additions

30p per mile business mileage paid
Enhanced rates of pay made for bank holidays
Paid five day induction program
Full enhanced DBS will be applied for, paid for by Be Caring Ltd.

Eligibility Required

Driving licence and access to a car essential.

Experience Required

The Role

As a home care assistant, you will spend your time out in the community visiting our service users and ensuring they are well looked after, safe and happy. The type of care and support that we offer varies depending on each service user’s individual needs.

All of our service users have a care plan in place for you to adhere to, however, please see below a list of potential tasks that you may be expected to carry out:

Assisting with personal care, including intimate care with dignity
Administration/prompting of medication
Assisting with the preparation of meals/drinks
Assisting with the completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping
Assisting people to remain independent within the community
