Be Caring Leeds are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our Home Care department

Our Leeds Branch is ran by Amelia who is the Registered Manager for the department, Amelia is an experience and accomplished leader who has worked within the social care sector for many years.

Our Leeds branch has seen continued growth under the guidance of Amelia and we are looking to recruit both Full and Part Time staff to aid us in continuing to grow the department within the South Leeds area.

Day to day coordination of the department is overseen our Service Care Coordinators who ensure that we are providing quality care to our customers. Should you be successful in your application for a role within our Home Care Department you will have direct interaction with all of our Care Coordinators who will support and help develop your skills to be the best you can be.

Additions

We offer guaranteed hour contracts
We pay an extra 20p on top every visit that you carry out
Car drivers and walkers welcome
30p per mile business mileage paid
Enhanced rates of pay made for bank holidays
Paid five day induction program

Eligibility Required

Full enhanced DBS will be applied for, paid for by Be Caring Ltd.

Experience Required

Experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided. We simply ask for our employees to be committed to providing quality care to our customers and that you are passionate about caring for others.

The Role

As a home care assistant, you will spend your time out in the community visiting our service users and ensuring they are well looked after, safe and happy. The type of care and support that we offer varies depending on each service user’s individual needs.

All of our service users have a care plan in place for you to adhere to, however, please see below a list of potential tasks that you may be expected to carry out:

Assisting with personal care, including intimate care with dignity
Administration/prompting of medication
Assisting with the preparation of meals/drinks
Assisting with the completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping
Assisting people to remain independent within the community

Support

If you are successful in appointment of this position you will have the opportunity to complete:

Five days induction training (Completion of this induction program is mandatory)
Care certificate
At least 16 hours shadowing an experienced member of the team
Apprenticeship/diploma in care
Any additional training required for your role

Any Specific Details relating to role

Intimate care, delivered with dignity
Emotional support
Administration/prompting of medication
Moving and positioning, including use of equipment
