Summary

Be Caring Tyneside is looking to recruit experienced care workers to join our dementia specialised bungalows in the Brunswick Village and Dinnington Village areas of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Full time and part time contracted hours available
Full enhanced DBS check carried out and paid for by Be Caring

Full enhanced DBS check will be carried out by Be Caring Limited any offer of employment is subject to the information gathered at this time.

Experience Required

Due to nature of the service we request that applicants have previous experience within the care sector.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide tailored person-centred support to those who we support within the dementia specialised bungalows.

You will provide our customers with support and care that is meaningful and ensures that well-being and mental health needs are met.

All of our service users have care plans in place for you to adhere to, however, please see below a list of potential tasks that you may be expected to carry out:

Assisting with personal care, including intimate care with dignity
Administration/prompting of medication
Assisting with the preparation of meals/drinks
Assisting with the completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping
Assisting people to remain independent within the community

If you are successful in appointment of this position you will have the opportunity to complete:

Paid for 5 days of induction training
Completion of the Care Certificate across a 12 week period working with our dedicated trainer
