Summary

We are looking for values driven Carer & Support Workers to join Be Caring.

As a Carer & Support Worker, you will support people in their homes and communities in Rothwell, Robin Hood, East Ardsley, Tingley, Rothwell and Morley (and surrounding areas).

We pay our colleagues for the whole time they are out. You will be paid from start to finish!

As a Carer & Support Worker, you will connect people to their communities, work with individuals and their families and provide outstanding person-centred care that promotes independence and reablement.

You will provide care and support to meet individual personal care needs around medication, washing and dressing, cooking, cleaning, shopping and promoting access to community groups and services.

CONTRACTS

Full-time, part-time, evening only and weekend only contracts available.

WORKING HOURS & SHIFT PATTERNS

You will work on a week 1, week 2 shift pattern, which will include evenings and weekends.

Morning shift - 7:00am - 2:00pm

Evening shift - 3:30pm - 10:00pm.

Additions

Salaried workforce - Up to £23,095; £9.40 p/hr - paid for the whole time you are out (£10.18 p/hr - if paid per call). Mileage - 40p per mile

Eligibility Required

You will need access to vehicle and driving license.

Experience Required

You do not need care experience. If you have the right values, we will provide you with the training you need to be an outstanding Home Care Worker.

INDUCTION TRAINING

As a Carer & Support Worker, you will be provided with a comprehensive induction training on; community and individual wellbeing, fluids and nutrition, medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid, infection prevention and control, professional boundaries, safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity.

All training is fully funded, and you will be paid for your time to complete the training.

  • Induction includes a minimum of; 3 x half day classroom based sessions, 14 online learning units and shadowing care calls. As an employee-owned organisation, we pay everyone for successfully completing their induction.
  • We will ask you about your availability at interview to discuss a potential working pattern that meets the needs of the service and the people we support.

    Typically, we ask people to work a mixture of evenings and weekends, for example; alternate weekends, and 2 evenings per week. If you have applied for a weekend only job, then we will expect that you will be available to work weekends.
  • The majority of our colleagues tend to work on early and late shifts, some colleagues work full days.

    EARLY shifts can start as early as 6:45am to 3:00pm and LATE shifts tend to be from 3:00pm to 10:30pm
