Activities and Care Support Workers required to join our Dementia specialised bungalows in the Brunswick Village and Dinnington Village areas of Newcastle upon Tyne.
You will provide activity based support to our customers within the service, support that is person-centred and tailored to the needs of the individuals. You will be an enthusiastic, driven individual with a can do attitude who has a good working knowledge of dementia care. You will be able to engage and stimulate individuals living with dementia ensuring that the well-being and mental health needs of the our customers are met.

As an Activities and Care Support Worker, you will be kind and compassionate, building caring and supportive relationships with the people you support and their families. You will be integral in the implementation of daily activities within the service. You will work closely with your fellow colleague to identify the interests and hobbies of our customers.
As a Home Care Support Worker, you will:
Maximise people’s independence through enabling approaches
Build care and support networks for individuals, involving family and friends
Identify opportunities to connect people to their local community

Typical care and support tasks within a care plan include:
Personal care, including intimate care when required
Administration/prompting of medication when required
Preparation of meals/drinks
Completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping
Access to/attendance at community groups and activities
